"BILOXI BLUES is a glorious burst of Americana,
the best play of the year and a dazzling lyrical leap forward
in the already astonishing career of Neil Simon."
-Dennis Cunningham, WCBS-TV
"Neil Simon has done the seemingly impossible: he has
topped Neil Simon. BILOXI BLUES is an uproarious, deeply
affecting, extraordinary comedy hit-with-a-heart. "
-Gene Shalit, NBC-TV/TODAY

written by
Neil Simon
This is the second in Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Neil Simon’s “Eugene Trilogy” which begins with Brighton Beach Memoirs and concludes with Broadway Bound. When we last met Eugene Jerome, he was coping with adolescence in 1930s Brooklyn.
Here he is a young army recruit during World War II, going through basic training and learning about life and love, along with some harsher lessons, while stationed at boot camp in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1943. |
