Patsy Cline Tribute Show

Barbara VanEycken, billed as the "best Patsy since Patsy" returns to our stage on February 4, 2015.  Fifty years after Patsy Cline's death, this musical tribute traces her life and career from honky-tonk performer to queen of country music and cross-over pop artist.

One reviewer, commenting on Barbara's faithful renditions of Cline's songs said ..."Barbara's vocals, her humor and her interaction with the audience start you wondering...you begin to believe Patsy is really on stage".  This show SOLD OUT last year so be sure to call the Box Office early.

Wild West Fundraiser

Fundraising event to support the Lake Worth Playhouse.

February 7, 2015, 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.

From the producers of the wildly entertaining fundraising events The Speakeasy and The Tropicana comes another fun filled night of drinking, casino-style gaming, light fare, dancing and cabaret style entertainment. Come and be transported into the wild and wooly past of the American Wild West as we transform our historic theatre into a Wild West saloon.
Mosey on up to the bar, order yourself a tall drink and try your luck at poker or various other games of chance. Those who aren’t inclined to bend an elbow at the gaming tables can kick up their heels and dosey doe to country western music on our esteemed stage. All guests are encouraged to attend in costume to fully experience the evening. Just be careful who you associate with. Some of the more unsavory types like to shoot first and ask questions later.

We are having 3 Black Jack tables, 2 Texas hold 'em tables, 3 card poker tables, 1 roulette, and 1 craps table. For your ticket purchase, you will receive 1 free drink ticket and $150 in funny money to gamble with.

Las Vegas Legends

Jimmy's New Show "Las Vegas Legends" show is a musical journey
thru Jimmy’s favorite songs from the Las Vegas Strip over the Years.
Jimmy’s high energy and enthusiasm is tempured only by his ultra
smooth vocals as he croons the tunes of the Ratpack, then quickly
moves on to glide thru his impressions of the likes of Tom Jones,
Englebert Humperdinck, Tony Orlando, Bobby Darin, Lou Rawls, Tony
Bennett, and Frankie Valli and Neil Diamond. Yes, he’ll certainly stop
and focus on “The King”, Elvis Presley with a very amusing parody,
but keeps moving & crooning as he covers many more greats like
Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Durante',
Johnny Cash, and many more. And be sure that in typical Jimmy
Mazz style, there will be a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
Never the same show twice. Visit jmazzsings.com for more
information.

Vanessa Hollingshead: Because I am a Lady

If you watch comedian Vanessa Hollingshead perform, you'll quickly discover her comedy comes, in part, from two things: her wacky personal experiences and coping with the obstacles of life. She has lived in Australia, England and New York City. In addition to being an accomplished standup comedian, she was the lead singer in a rock band, award winning actress and a gifted writer. This has led her to be the #1 observationalist comedian working today. She shares her personal life on stage with hysterical results and when asked off stage, why are you so honest on stage... She quips, "Because I am a lady".

Vanessa was recently on VH1's Lords of the Revolution, has had her own Comedy Central Presents, has taped her second DVD, "American Anglomaniac" and is taping her third DVD, "Drunk" at Stand Up New York. She has performed for Comedy Central in Australia, as well as numerous shows in the UK and Amsterdam, she also has had critical acclaim with her one woman show "Flashback", and just complete her second one person show, called "The Hold".
