Judy Tenuta... The Goddess Returns

Judy Tenuta is the most famous person who has ever lived...and if you don't believe it, just ask her. Judy has strong stage, television, comedy and film credits with a large fan base.  She has appeared in" The Vagina Monologues",  "Menopause the Musical" both in LA and Chicago, and she's had her own stand-up specials on Showtime, HBO and Lifetime.  Judy was the first female stand-up comic to win "Best Female Comedian" at the American Comedy Awards and is a two-time Grammy nominee for her comedy CD’S,  "Attention Butt-Pirates” and “Lesbetarians!" and "In Goddess We Trust".  That same year, she became the national spokesperson for a series of Diet Dr. Pepper commercials. The self-described "Love Goddess" and "Aphrodite of the Accordion" has made hundreds of guest and co-hosting appearances on such popular TV shows as "The View",  "Late Night with David Letterman", "Larry King Live", "Entertainment Tonight", and "Comics Unleashed".

Judy's stand-up routine is appropriately described as outrageous, mind-blowing comedy. She recently became an ordained minister, and converts her audiences to her signature religion, "Judyism".  A strong advocate for gays, children and women's issues, the fun-loving feminist preaches that all women should be worshipped as "Love Goddesses!"   Some of Judy's roles include:  an ex-show girl turned wedding chaplain on General Hospital, a snobby judge on "Corey in the House" and a featured role in the teen comedy hit, "Material Girls", starring Hillary and Haley Duff and directed by Martha Coolidge.  Judy also produced and starred in her own film, "Desperation Boulevard" about a former child star who stops at nothing to make a comeback. Judy costars with Bruce Villanch in the Indie film, "Sister Mary".... so watch out, Meryl Streep!

Opera Fusion, Inc. presents Duke Bluebeard’s Castle on Halloween

Seven Shades of Red… in One Act. Join us for our Gala Opening Performance as we present this eerie yet powerful tale of love gone wrong. Hungarian composer Béla Bartók* based his masterpiece on the folk legend of Duke Bluebeard; a rich, strange man living alone in an empty cold castle grossly in the habit of murdering his wives. The opera opens with his new wife, Judith, entering his castle. She is powerfully drawn to the sinister stranger and the old tales of the women who had disappeared over the years. Once inside she is confronted with seven enormous locked doors, which she must open to discover exactly who her new lover really is. Bluebeard tries to hide the truth of the doors from the insistent Judith. But this is opera after all, and she must open them. How does it end? Operatically, of course!

The audience is encouraged to come in costume in honor of the holiday. Along with a VIP ticket comes a private after party next door at Suri Tapas Bar, 707 Lake Avenue, with DJ, appetizers and a complimentary drink.

Dean Peterson as Bluebeard
Birgit Fioravante as Judith
Krisztina Kover & Robin Arrigo, pianists

From the Metropolitan Opera to San Francisco Opera to La Scala…
“The potent-voiced bass Dean Peterson as Bluebeard…gave an accomplished performance.”
                                                                               - The New York Times
“Veteran bass Dean Peterson was a superb Bluebeard.  With credits that include the Met, La Scala and the Vienna State Opera, Peterson combines a powerful stage presence with a mellifluous bass voice of expressive power and depth… Birgit Fioravante [was] a glamorous but fiercely determined Judith… she is a true theatrical animal who commands the stage.”
                                                                             - Classical South Florida
*Performed in the original Hungarian with English supertitles.

Las Vegas Legends

Jimmy's New Show "Las Vegas Legends" show is a musical journey
thru Jimmy’s favorite songs from the Las Vegas Strip over the Years.
Jimmy’s high energy and enthusiasm is tempured only by his ultra
smooth vocals as he croons the tunes of the Ratpack, then quickly
moves on to glide thru his impressions of the likes of Tom Jones,
Englebert Humperdinck, Tony Orlando, Bobby Darin, Lou Rawls, Tony
Bennett, and Frankie Valli and Neil Diamond. Yes, he’ll certainly stop
and focus on “The King”, Elvis Presley with a very amusing parody,
but keeps moving & crooning as he covers many more greats like
Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Durante',
Johnny Cash, and many more. And be sure that in typical Jimmy
Mazz style, there will be a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
Never the same show twice. Visit jmazzsings.com for more

Vanessa Hollingshead: Because I am a Lady

If you watch comedian Vanessa Hollingshead perform, you'll quickly discover her comedy comes, in part, from two things: her wacky personal experiences and coping with the obstacles of life. She has lived in Australia, England and New York City. In addition to being an accomplished standup comedian, she was the lead singer in a rock band, award winning actress and a gifted writer. This has led her to be the #1 observationalist comedian working today. She shares her personal life on stage with hysterical results and when asked off stage, why are you so honest on stage... She quips, "Because I am a lady".

Vanessa was recently on VH1's Lords of the Revolution, has had her own Comedy Central Presents, has taped her second DVD, "American Anglomaniac" and is taping her third DVD, "Drunk" at Stand Up New York. She has performed for Comedy Central in Australia, as well as numerous shows in the UK and Amsterdam, she also has had critical acclaim with her one woman show "Flashback", and just complete her second one person show, called "The Hold".
