Nunsense
Jan 16 - Feb 1, 2009
Dan Goggin's musical comedy begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the convent's residents. In need of funds to bury their dearly departed sisters, the surviving nuns stage a fundraising variety show. The well-meaning-but-wacky sisters systematically take over the school auditorium (currently set up for an eighth-grade production of Grease) and kick up their heels to perform a musical extravaganza in their own uniquely devout – and hilarious – style. The Playhouse production features the memorable music, dance, audience quiz, and comic surprises that have turned this well-known show into an international phenomenon. More Info

The Crucible
Feb 27 - March 15, 2009
Arthur Miller’s Tony Award-winning drama details the mass hysteria that led to the tragic 1692 Salem witch trials. The accusations of a group of misguided girls set a tenuous town on a mad witch hunt that pits neighbor against neighbor and changes lives forever. Written in 1953 at the height of McCarthyism, Miller’s provo-cative play parallels the events of his time and delivers a dramatic study in “the conflict between a man’s raw deeds and his conception of himself.” More Info
This production is sponsored in part by Sorgini & Sorgini, PA of Lake Worth, FL.
