This class is an exploration in the performing arts and will introduce
youth to dance, music and acting. Parents will be invited to the last
class to have a sneak peek at the warm-ups and exercises youth
participate in on their creative journey. |

Students will learn the basic skills of acting, voice and movement. The
class will culminate in an informance demonstrating mastery in new
skills and showcasing a monologue for each student.

Students will strengthen their acting skills and develop methods for
improvisation, characterization and monologue/scene study. The class

A
group class for aspiring musical theatre youth to gain valuable
experience in both dancing and singing for the stage in the style of Broadway.
Students may expect to explore their musical ranges and learn at least
16 bars from contrasting genres of music to use on auditions. Students
will also learn the basic steps from various styles of dance. This
course is co-instructed by a choreographer and voice instructor. |
