Lake Worth Playhouse Teen Company

Ghost Light

The mission of the teen company, Ghost Light, is to provide professional support, master’s level education, and performance opportunities to young performing artists in Palm Beach County. The name “Ghost Light” comes from the longstanding tradition of leaving a lamp onstage when the theatre is dark. Its primary purpose is for safety, but it is also deeply rooted in superstitions about giving light to the ghosts of actors past. The teen company is the Lake Worth Playhouse’s way of giving light to future performing artists in the spirit of the great traditions from the past.
